| Credit for Brushes and other Resources |
[14 Aug 2010|06:06pm] |
This will be a constantly updated list of credits to artists whose brushes and borders that I use. Also contains links to icon resources that I use.
Note: I have a huge collection of brushes, textures, bases, and gradients. It's a bit difficult to make sure everyone gets proper credit. If you see me using something that you made, and you find that you're not listed on this entry, simply send me an e-mail at mauralabingi@hotmail.com or reply to this entry, and I'll add you to this list. Please try to show me where I used your work, too.
Please take note: I'm trying to make this resource list as streamlined as possible, with everything in it's proper category and direct links to the places where I downloaded the resources that I use. If I use resources that belong to you and I go to your journal/site and find that it's impossible to navigate or there are no obvious links or memories leading to your brushes/textures/gradients/ect I will either list you under my general section or remove you from my credti list entirely. I've been to too many sites today while organizing my resources and found them impossbile to navigiate or even been unable to find what I orgiinally downloaded.
Updated: 04-27-05 Ok, this page will be a reference for me and everyone else of the brushes, bases, textures, and other resources that I use in my icons (since some people have been asking). This page will be linked to from the Memories and my Info page, and it will be continuously updated to give credit to those whose brushes I use. Just click on the name to go to the person's LJ or personal homepage.

I've finished updating the resources. I may do some more organizing, but for the most part they are finished. If you go there now, you'll find sections dedicate to brushes, textures, and gradients with a different artists listed and links directly to pages where you can download these resouces so you don't have to spend time hunting around for it. There's still a section of artists who I owe credit, but can't find resources for so i'll continue looking. The last section is the one I want to organize a little better, but not today.

I am currently in the process of revamping my resources page so if you look at it and it's all wonked out that's the reason why. But hopefully when I'm done all of my resources will be seperated into categories, and if you're lucky there will be direct links to the pages where you can download the brushes/gradients/textures/whatever so you don't have to hunt around.

I've got 3 tutorials for you in this post, all showing you how to get rid of backgrounds of images or extract images from background so you can place them on a different background. Two methods use masking, one method uses the Extract filter. These were designed using Adobe Photoshop CS, but I know someof the methods used here are available in earlier versions of PS. This is image heavy.

I've got several tutorials for you, mainly working with grayscale images. This is the first in the series. It's image heavy. The model featured in this tutorial is wearing lingerie, though nothing is exposed, so consider yourself warned. This tutorial was designed for Adobe Photoshop CS. I don't know whether it translates to earlier versions of Photohop.
( Using the Channel Mixer to convert an image to grayscale. )
